The Wild Olive Tree Camp

Pros: The food was amazing. The staff was super friendly. We made new friends with other guests every evening.

Pros: We had a fantastic stay at the Wild Olive Tree Camp. Wonderful hospitality from Ingrid and her team. Delicious meals, and on mornings when we left very early to enter the Kruger Park we were provided packed meals. The accommodation (tent) is basic, but clean and comfortable. There are lights but no other power points in the tents, so would recommend packing a power bank and a torch.

Pros: This property is definitely worth staying at even just for an overnight stay on your way to Kruger. The tents despite being basic, are very comfortable and cosy. The staff are incredibly welcoming - thanks to Audrey for help with sorting out a flat tyre and repair. Special acknowledgement to the chef - the meals were hearty and delicious.

Cons: Just a suggestion - a flask of hot water in the room with a coffee and tea station would be a welcome addition.

Overall, an enjoyable experience.

Pros: The staff went out of their way to welcome you and were exceptionally friendly. Although the bed was narrow, it provided a good night's rest and although the shower looked dodgy, it provided a really good shower experience. Breakfast and dinner was really enjoyable.

Cons: There is no parking close to the tents, so you have to carry your luggage quite far. Upon arrival they assist, but upon check-out you need to get your luggage to your car by youself. There is ample space between the tents to create small parking spaces where a car can park next to its tent. This will enhance the experience ten-fold. The walkways to the tents are very dark at night, I would suggest stronger solar lights along the path.

Short and sweet stay in nature.

Pros: Impressed by the dinner & breakfast served. Hot plates! Served with a smile. Location was perfect for our travels the following day.

Pros: Staff were amazing and couldn’t do enough for us. Location was excellent for Kruger Park.

Cons: It is extremely rustic, which is charming however, the shower was not hot and very temperamental, And the toilet leaked. Organized Game drive seemed overpriced - as they charge per person and we were in a large group. No concessions for locals

Pros: Perfect location to explore Manyeleti and Kruger. Right next to the Orpen Kruger Gate and Manyeleti. Lovely tents very comfortable. Includes brekky and dinner so great value.

Cons: Showers could be a bit more consistent with the hot water.

Excellent stay away from the hustle but close to Kruger National Park.

Pros: Rustic accommodation with only the basics, but perfect to get away from it all. Good breakfast and dinner.

Cons: Road into the camp was a little tough ride in our low rental car, but just take it slowly.
