Perfect safari experience

Pros: Game drives with Pam were perfect. With one evening and one morning safari we met lions, cheetahs, leopard, elephants, buffalo’s, hyena, jackal, giraffes, zebras, hippo and lots of birds and small animals. Food is good, accommodation comfortable enough, staff is great

A Mixed Experience, Despite a Great Camp and Brilliant Guides: Baixon & Mike

Pros: An unforgettable experience! We had a captivating safari with an exceptional guide, our accommodation was perfectly integrated into the savannah, the food was delicious, and the staff was incredibly attentive. Everything was set for a perfect stay, but we encountered a major issue with access.\

Cons: We arrived at the park gate at 10:00 AM to begin the excursion with our guide. Shortly after commencing the access track, the poor condition of the route—initially sandy, then muddy—led to our vehicle becoming first stuck in sand and then completely bogged down in mud. Despite our repeated and urgent concerns about the impassable state of the track, the guide demonstrated incomprehensible obstinacy. This poor decision resulted in us being stranded for over two hours in intense heat (approximately 30°C / 86°F). After being extracted using ropes, I determined it was unsafe to proceed. At this point, the guide announced he had to leave us to collect other clients. We were consequently abandoned, alone in the savannah, for 65 minutes without any support. It was only after I expressed my extreme dismay regarding our immobilized vehicle and vulnerable situation that the team arranged our return to the gate in their 4x4. Additional Damages and Financial Penalty: Upon our return, we received minimal apology for the ordeal. The situation worsened when returning our rental vehicle: the agent identified significant scratching along one side. My security deposit of €585 was subsequently withheld without a valid or satisfactory explanation. I am profoundly dismayed by this sequence of events, which was characterized by dangerous mismanagement, negligent abandonment in a remote area, a complete lack of customer care, and a substantial financial penalty. This experience was utterly unacceptable.

It was wonderful again

Pros: We were given another warm welcome. Communication with Lynn and Dudley was excellent, as we didn't know how the weather would develop after the heavy rainfall. To ensure we made it safely to camp, we were accompanied from the main camp.

Outstandingly awesome!

Pros: It was our second visit to the camp. It was wonderful again. We were given a warm welcome. Baxton once again did his utmost to show us as many animals as possible on the game drive. We'd love to come back!

Pros: Safaris with Ronny were amazing. Fantastic staff fantastic food saw so many animals will be back to get that leopard. Thanks so much guys

Pros: We had a fantastic stay at Buffleshoek Tented Camp in Manyeleti. The camp was peaceful and as described, making it the perfect place to relax. As enthusiastic photographers, we came specifically to unwind and take photos, and we were able to capture so many incredible moments. Ronnie was an outstanding guide who always made sure we were perfectly positioned for the best shots. The staff were all wonderful, the food was excellent, and the owners were incredibly friendly and helpful. We truly loved our time here and hope to return one day.

Authentic African bush stay amongst the real wild

Pros: We couldn’t get enough of this place and can’t wait to return! Elvis was the perfect guide to make our trip memorable and adventurous. The food was incredible and all of the staff were so helpful and accommodating. The resident hyena was also a big hit, despite sniffing my head at 3am on the first night from outside the tent, none of us were put off by that 🥳 would highly recommend!

Awesome!

Pros: Our guide Brexton was very friendly and a good host. We managed to have has excellent game viewing and had some very unique sightings all while having a fun time with Brexton. Meals were really good quality and decent portions too!

Cons: The other reviews are true in saying that the camp needs some cosmetic renovation, but you need to realise this is the best value for money you can get to stay within the Manyeleti. It was worth the money.

Unforgettable experience

Pros: The location in the middle of nature surrounded by wild animals. An elephant came eating from the tree right next to our tent. At night we could hear the hyenas howling. The game drives were fantastic! Elvis gave it all to show us the beautiful animals of South Africa. We saw not only the big five, but many more! During our game drives we saw elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffalos, lions, cheetahs, wild dogs, hippos, rhinos, leopards, crocodiles, impalas and many more beautiful creatures. The food and catering was outstanding. We were taken care of so well from the kitchen crew. It was amazing! Also the tent itself was super clean and comfortable.

Cons: The bed is a bit on the short side. Just good to know if you are a tall person. But who cares, it's all about the fantastic atmosphere in the camp and the excellent game drives.
