Amazing value in a basic cabin, with the best pillows ever!

Pros: Good location. Great value. The bed was super comfortable - also best ever pillows and duvet. We were in what they call Leisure1 cabin.

Cons: No shower, just a bath.

Pros: Restaurant onsite and friendly staff from check-in to Dinner service. Breakfast and setting overlooking the dam very nice. Nice fireplace and comfy bed - the electric blankets a Bonus.

Cons: Unit (Leisure 1) is comfortable for a one-night stay-over - nothing spectacular with limited/no view. Felt a bit cramped.

Pros: Super comfy & warm bed. Enough wood for a lovely fire. Safe parking.

Cons: Would of loved a teapot to make tea in, & a shower would work better than the bath. In saying this we would definitely stay again, it didn't take from the great experience!

Good rating fo peace of mind

Pros: Good place, to meditate and reminaice. Clean environment, safe to walk to different shops.

Cons: Long wait for food, but not to bad as they prepare food afresh.

Great value family room

Pros: Beautiful hotel, friendly staff, stunning restaurant and bar. The room looked cold but after we lit the fire and put in our electric blankets we had a warm evening.

Pros: We loved our stay. The food at the restaurant was exceptional. The staff was supper friendly Did not fly fish but will be trying it next time

All in all we were happy other than the WIFI issue

A comfortable and peacful Guest Lodge

Pros: We enjoyed our stay at at Critchley Hacklee! Its a comfortable spot with lovely rooms lovely views – such a peaceful place to relax and unwind. The bathrooms could do with a little freshening up, but nothing that took away from the overall comfort. One thing to note for anyone with gluten intolerance: the restaurant menu is quite limited, with the only gluten-free option being a salad. So it’s a good idea to plan meals elsewhere if you need more variety. All in all, it was a lovely place to stay with lots of potential – We would definitely come back!
