Absolutely Amazing

Pros: The property is in a remote location far from the city. It’s located in a beautiful landscape, the view is breathtaking. The nature is just so beautiful, bush, animals, sound of birds and roaring lions. The food was delicious, staff is friendly. Everything was just perfect for me.

Cons: Nothing wrong about the property, it’s all beautiful. Perhaps what they can work on is the access road to the property, it is not in a good condition particularly for small cars. You need a raised car for the road condition.

Great stay! We did quad biking through the wild, massages, and game drives! Excellent all around!

Pros: If you want a \

Cons: The network is really sketchy. The reception is at least 3km away from the gate. You have to call when you get to the gate, BUT the network was nonexistent for multiple networks. So before you set off for the venue, ensure that you request their WiFi details so that you can connect when you get to the gate and contact the hotel. We had to drive back 8km on the gravel road to get network and call the place...late at night. The are no carpets in the rooms. The floor is clean with tiles, but it lacks carpets.

Pros: The Environment is Tranquil and Exceptional. The Owners and Staff serve with a Smile.

Cons: Nothing, except we felt our stay was very short ( 2nights). We shall return for a longer stay, soon

Sho't left

Pros: The professionalism of the staff to start with. I loved and enjoyed the heated pool and the views are amazing.

Cons: Getting stuck by the gate when it could have been avoided.

Lovely lodge, but service could increase

Pros: Beautiful lodge in a lovely location. Our highlights were the private Quad Tour (getting close to giraffes and some other animals) and the lion feeding tour with the lion foundation (very interesting). The guides were friendly and told us a lot. Most of the staff are helpful and friendly. Very spacious rooms with beautiful views. Lovely pool, good food.

Cons: At the main gate there is a note that you should call to be let in. We did not have a sim card with calls, so we struggled about 15/20 minutes to even get in. There is a code to open the gate. Would have benn helpful to get this code in advance. The check in was chaotic. We did not get many information about the lodge or the activities. Prior communication was difficult as well. Either I did not receice a reply at all or days later. For the price, I feel like the service should increase The fridge in the room smelled very bad.

A Memorable Bush Experience

Pros: Our stay at Schrikkloof was so amazing. The lodge itself is beautiful with so much to do from board games, spas, game drives, lion feeding, sparkling pool, and good food . Really enjoyed the lion feeding. The lions are well cared for and really have enough space. They are really doing such an amazing job of rescuing them and bringing them back to good health. The game drive was amazing, and our guide was very knowledgeable. The rooms were big spacious and beautiful. I loved the sound of the lions, donkeys, and other wild life during the night. Our stay was nothing but memorable. Thank you, Schrikkloof, for an amazing weekend

Cons: The roads to the lodge were really a challenge as we had a low-rise car. So we really struggled a bit but took it easy all the way but out stay made up for it. .
