Phenomenal safari experience with incredible staff!

Pros: Phenomenal stay! Beautiful setting, amazing staff and fantastic game drives - we see all of the big five, in a safe and respectful manner, as well as wild dogs, cheetah, giraffes, zebras etc. Food was great and we slept very comfortably every night. Would highly recommend!!!

Cons: Not many open areas to relax outside (e.g. near the pool) and didn’t get a chance to eat on the main lower terrace which is shown on the photos.

Loved our stay

Pros: We had the most exquisite stay at Karongwe. The staff were absolutely fantastic and couldn't do enough. Our guide Mandla & tracker Colin really were two of the nicest people we have ever met. The food was 5 star, and the portions were big. They also catered for my wife who is vegetarian. This was a trip of a lifetime, seeing 4 of the big 5. We would love to come back!

Unforgettable stay

Pros: What a magical place Kuname Lodge is. We had the most unforgettable time staying here for four nights on our recent honeymoon. We loved the fact the lodge was small and intimate, which made for a relaxing experience. All of the staff were fantastic- friendly and very attentive and we were so well fed throughout our stay and had some delicious meals (the braai in particular!). Our room was comfortable with a viewing platform for us to watch the baboons and nyalas close by. The eight game drives we had during our stay were superb- we saw all of the big five at least twice as well as plenty of other animals, including cheetahs on foot. Adi was a wonderful guide and we will look back so fondly of our game drives with him and Sondy, our tracker. Thank you to Team Kuname for such a memorable four days!

Cons: Nothing- we would love to return!

Cheetas, leopards, elephants and fine dining…what could be better?

Pros: A remarkable place with excellent staff, food, and guided animal safari drives twice a day. The landscape is exceptional. The lodge and rooms are exquisitely decorated, comfortable, and with views of animals walking through the grass and along the river beds. We heard lions as we dined on world class cuisine.The chef is gifted, with asure hand in spices and seasonings.

Cons: There is no way to improve on this place. It is perfection.

Exceptional stay - definitely do it!

Pros: Beautiful location overlooking the valley, with lots of animals wandering around. Exceptional staff - very helpful and attentive. The property was kept impeccably clean. The food was incredible and plentiful. The drinks were very well priced. Loved the game drives - saw the big 5 in the first couple of drives! Very special evening celebrating my mums birthday with a cake prepared. Glen was especially helpful with all needs. Overall fantastic stay and could not recommend highly enough!

Great lodge with excellent food and staff

Pros: the food was amazing. The Breakfast buffet is overwhelming, lunch is good and dinner and braai of amazing quality. The staff is so kind and helpful. The rangers try to really go the extra mile. Great views over the river bed.

Cons: The rooms are a bit outdated and much smaller than the pictures show. The outside bath area wasn't looked after properly and felt ran down.

Amazing! Will be back!

Pros: We got upgraded to the Becks safari lodge and it was the most amazing holiday we have had. It was such a great experience and we will definitely be back. The staff are absolutely amazing and so lovely. The food is 5 star and the game drives are so much fun. We saw all 5 of the big 5 animals and many others. Got to be so close to the animals and learnt so much from our ranger Kevin. He is so amazing and great at his job.

Cons: Nothing. Everything was top notch
