Incredible from start to finish, a dream made into reality
Pros: From the moment we were greeted by the reception staff, everything was absolutely 10/10. The cleanliness of the room, the view from the stoep, the food, the outstanding professionalism and friendly manner of all members of staff - we could not have had a better experience! The game drivers were also fantastic, making sure to ask each of us what we were keen on seeing. We will 100% be back again, our batteries feel fully charged! Thank you Leopard Sands team x
Cons: Genuinely there wasn't any aspect of our stay that we didn't like or enjoy.

Amazing, unforgettable experience - couldn’t recommend enough!
Pros: Everything is fantastic!! The setting, view, location, food, service, rooms are all amazing. Exceeded our expectations. Safari drives were brilliant - Jimmy was a great guide and KG and the team really looked after us at the lodge.
Cons: One tiny gripe that we booked the 5am game drive and got up ready for it - but it’s actually 5.30am.

Luxury with a great view.
Pros: Well appointed room. Mini bar filled with soft drinks on arrival. Insect repellent was provided. Game drives were excellent. Room had a great view over the river and the resident wildlife (hippos and occasionally elephants).
Cons: Mini bar was only stocked for initial arrival. Reception were shocked that I asked for it to be refilled. This is an all inclusive (apart from alcohol) hotel. All other hotels we have stayed at which are classed as all inclusive, restocked the mini bar every day. Also, be prepared to pre-order your evening meal as you can’t decide on the night.

A nice hotel with room for improvement.
Pros: We overall had a very pleasant and memorable stay at Leopard Sands. The suites are beautiful, spacious and always very clean. The staff were super friendly and always very helpful and the food was also very good. From the terrace and balconies of the suites you have a nice view of the Kruger National Park, so you always have the chance to see animals, even if you skip a game drive. The guide on our game drives always went out of his way to find the animals we wanted to see and always provided interesting information about the animals. For every game drive we were provided with capes, blankets, water, Softdrinks, tea and coffee. It's great that you can have some laundry cleaned every day free of charge. The laundry was either back in the room freshly washed and ironed the same evening or the next morning, depending on when you put it in the laundry basket.
Cons: There are a few things that are not yet properly organised, which is probably because the hotel is very new and everything still needs to settle in. This is an all-inclusive hotel excluding alcoholic drinks. What irritated us was that we received a bill even if we didn't have to pay anything (to make sure we tipped, I guess). Apart from soft drinks and water, all other non-alcoholic drinks were charged, which we also found a bit strange. We always felt pressure to tip constantly. However, this was something that we generally experienced in South Africa, not only at this hotel. One evening we ordered a bottle of wine that was on the menu but not available. The waitress brought us an alternative bottle which ended up being twice as expensive. Normally you would assume that you would get something of equal value or that you would be informed in advance that it was a €70 bottle of wine. Yes, we could have complained on the spot, but we only realised how much the bottle had cost when we looked at the hotel bill again at home. We did enjoy the wine very much, though. If you want to skip a game drive, you can quickly get bored in the hotel, as there is ver little to do there. However, you can book other activities separately and these then take place outside the hotel. The staff go to great lengths to organise things if you actually want to book something outside of the hotel. A spa would be an enrichment for the hotel. If you do want to go to a spa, you have to book this at another location and organise a transfer there. We did know there was no spa, but I still wanted to mention this. In addition, there was no water in the communal pool, so that pool could not be used. No information about this was provided on the website. I am sure that some of these issues will improve over time, but I still wanted to point them out.

Mirno, opušteno, ljubazno osoblje, dobra hrana i odlični game drive.
