Laluka Safari Lodge - Welgevonden Game Reserve

Fantastic boutique safari with phenomenal guiding

Pros: We spent two nights at Laluka and it was outstanding from start to finish. On a private vehicle, Tyrone’s guiding was world-class—thoughtful and wonderfully patient at sightings. Our drives were tailored to photography, with the vehicle perfectly positioned for light and angles, and we never felt rushed. Thank you, Tyrone! The suites are spacious, spotless, and wonderfully quiet, with great views over the valley. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, with scrumptious snacks throughout the day. The staff and service across the board were warm, attentive, and genuinely endearing. Definitely one to come back to!

Amazing experience, amazing people, amazing value! Book it!

Pros: The whole experience was amazing from start to finish. It felt like the staff were inviting you into their home. It was a very relaxed atmosphere that made you feel so comfortable the moment you got there. The rooms were stunning and had everything you could have wanted. Comfy beds, plunge pool you can request to be heated, bath, shower, outdoor shower. The game drives were amazing too. We were very lucky with what we saw. We saw a lion kill and cheetah with 3 babies, water buffalo, elephants, rhinos, zebras! This place is truly special and we were so lucky to find it. Our your guide was so lovely also - Philip.

Cons: Our first night had a bunch of bugs in the room BUT it seemed to be a freak bug night as all the other nights were absolutely fine. Literally the only thing negative I could possibly say. The experience was beyond our expectations and we were so sad to leave.

Exceptional

Pros: An exceptional standard. The pool, the views, the amenities and the common areas were way above our expectations

Pros: Pro’s: Friendly, personal touches, all the staff and owners were lovely! Decor was wonderful….stealing some ideas for our own home! We have been to this reserve several times and laluka is certainly one of our favourite places to stay

Cons: Cons: some of the food was amazing and we loved the fact it was organic from their own farm. Sadly some of the meals were disappointing, in particular we had a steak one night that I couldn’t even cut because it was so tough. My husband also tried and it was so chewy we couldn’t eat it. The staff did give us something else as we had to send these meals back.

Pros: Wonderful stay, safari is super interesting and the atmosphere is exceptional

An excellent property and amazing view of the bush, the guides were very knowledgeable.

Pros: The selection for breakfast, was pretty good. presentation and quantity excellent. The hide at the water hole is outstanding and a great feature of the resort. being that close to nature was a real treat. A good camera is a must.

Cons: Nothing to write about, but the stay was too short and went past too quickly.

Pros: Le Laluka safari lodge est une invitation au dépaysement et à l’extraordinaire. Tout est pensé pour que le client se sente chez lui, dans une ambiance intimiste et raffinée. L’équipe toute entière est aux petits soins: -les repas gastronomiques sont aux mains expertes d’une très bonne cheffe. - le service est digne d’un 5 étoiles , avec une excellente prestation et toujours un sourire à la clef. -les guides font leur maximum pour nous faire découvrir et appréhender le bush et toutes sa complexité , en maximisant nos chances de voir lea animaux au plus près, toujours dans un profond respect. - les lodges sont splendides et très bien décorés.
