Excellent, will highly recommend.

Pros: Our stay at Makweti was great. Joseph was a very knowledgable and friendly guide, and the game drives were excellent. We saw four of the Big Five (elephant, rhino, buffalo, lion) during our four day stay, and many other species, including a cheetah from afar. Welgevonden is a beautiful part of the Waterberg, with an interesting variety of landscapes. Our hosts Byron, Jacqui and Josheph went out of their way to make our stay a memorable one. All meals were delicious, and the facilities were excellent.

Pros: Small lodge with excellent service. High attention to details and personalised to our safari requirements

Cons: Outside of the lodge's control - there was a lot of rain so not all roads were accesible

Pros: Makweti Lodge met all of our expectations. The facilities , game drives, food and unbelievable staff are amazing. We were their to celebrate our anniversary and the staff went the extra mile to make it a memorable.

Pros: The accommodation has place for up to 10 people in 5 different houses. With an extra spacious main house and lobby, the Makweti is the perfect place for a peace of mind. Extremely quiet, no children and with no fence around the premises, the bush is always nearby. Couldn't whish a better place to relax and reset from the day to day (technology-based) life. I will be back. The staff is excellent,

Incredible luxury safari experience worth every penny

Pros: We had a wonderful experience at Makweti for 3 nights. The lodge is beautifully designed, and feels very traditional yet modern. The room was exceptionally comfortable with a gorgeous deck, indoor and outdoor showers and super comfortable bed. The staff were absolutely amazing - Joseph and Byron took fantastic care of us from dawn until after sundown. The food was above and beyond my expectations - varied, healthy, fresh and balanced for every single meal. The game drives were fantastic and lasted 3 hours twice per day. We saw 4 of 5 of the Big Five in our 3 day stay. I would absolutely love to stay at Makweti again.

Memorable.

Pros: Food was great. Staff was excellent. Joseph has great bush facts. Amazing view.

Cons: Rooms can do with a little upgrade please, linen had a tear. Game drive stop snacks can get a little attention compared to Cliff top.

Pros: Magweti is a true magical place within the Private Welgevonden Game Reserve, about 250km north of JoBurg. The location, the people, the lodges and the food all are all on a very high standard, but on a very intimate scale.
