House On Blyde

An incredibly magical place to stay

Pros: What an incredible house. Honestly couldn't fault it. We extended another night. The couple who host are super friendly and welcoming. They also sent us recommendations for things to do in the area and restaurants which was super helpful. Comfy beds, lovely bath and well equipped kitchen. Also great brei! The view is stunning and we were lucky to have some Zebras come to visit in the garden which was magical.

Cons: NOTHING.

Cons: Beautiful location, right next to the Blyde River… which was in flood!

Peaceful nature retreat

Pros: Spacious, comfortable home perfect for a family sharing the accommodation for a few days. We had everything we needed and enjoyed relaxing in the peaceful garden next to the river. The zebra and kudu walking by and the majestic views were a highlight of our stay.

Cons: Could have the option of summer bedding (bed sheets) but the air conditioner worked very well! A couple of ceiling fans might be a nice addition one day. But

Pros: What is not to like about this amazing property, it is located within a botanical resort, with nature surrounding you. The Blyde river that flows by is right on your doorstep, you wake up to the sound of loads of different birds and the cackling of the monkey’s and go to bed with the grunting sound of the hippos, absolutely amazing can’t recommend this place enough. The hosts are phenomenal and so accommodating and can’t do enough for you, the property was spotless and even had all the little necessities in, the communication is spot on and they made sure we knew all about the amazing places you can visit while you there. 10/10 thanks for giving us this experience

Cons: There is nothing that you can’t like about this property, a bonus would of been a upstairs toilet for the oldies, but the host has told us that this is already in the pipeline, it definitely was NOT A DEAL BREAKER for us

Pros: Beautiful setting, close to the river, like a nature reserve with animals roaming around. Fantastic host - going the extra mile. I regret we didn't stay longer!

Pros: We enjoyed our stay here very much! The house is right by the river and feels very private. The owner was very attentive and made sure we were comfortable. We would definitely come back

Amazing! Loved everything about this gem!

Pros: An amazing place and friendly people!🥰 The accommodation was stunning, and having the river so close was a real bonus. Each kid found special treats waiting on their beds, which was a sweet touch. The jacuzzi was a lifesaver during the heatwave. Everyone we met was so friendly, we felt right at home and didn't want to leave.

Cons: Having to leave😒

Great experience, hope to visit soon again.

Cons: Bathroom on ground floor for upstairs bedrooms.
