Off Beat Safaris Bush Lodge

Unexpectedly delightful! Worth the drive, worth the money spend.

Pros: The kitchen is well equipped. The outdoor shower is delightful. Beautiful scenery.

Cons: It is 12km gravel road from the closest town however it is beautiful and worth the drive.

Pros: The hospitality that staff had and the treatment they give. The location is great for those who wanna get a break and be in touch with nature. The outdoor showers 🚿 👌 and the sounds of wildlife at night amazing🤩

Cons: Nothing i love everything about the place

Pros: The quietness of the lodge was outstanding. We had the family apartment to ourselves. We enjoyed our space without any interruption.

Cons: It rained during our stay, which made it not to be nice.

Pros: The place is very quiet and gives an opportunity for one to relax.

Great rustic bush stay for a group of friends

Pros: This is a nice bush camp that allows you to pretend you are roughing it in the bush, whilst still having all the basic comforts you may need. I was lucky enough to have the camp to myself, but I can see a group of friends having a great weekend here. Surprisingly good birding in camp. Friendly and helpful staff.

Cons: The camp is obviously set up for use by a group, even though as a solo traveler you are able to book only one of the accommodation units. There is only one shared dining table, one shared braai, all the seating is in the shared space..... So if there was more than one group in camp you will be forced to be sociable, whether you wanted to or not.

Pros: I love the fact that you are totally surrounded by nature.

Cons: We lived everything but the train on occasion woke the kids and I would have liked some bushveld wood instead of buying wood from town.

Pros: We were the only guests, and were given a free upgrade to the chalet with private pool. The host and gardener were also very kind and helpful. We greatly enjoyed spotting smaller wildlife from the hide out during the sunset and sunrise, and the peace and quiet of the stay. During the night we were visited by a honey badger twice that tried to get into the cupboards and fridge, some excitement for sure!

Pros: very relaxing, the chalets are well positioned distant away from one another giving guests all sense of privacy

Cons: locating the property from Town is a little mission impossible, no directions boards. all other stuff is exceptional

Pros: Geweldige ervaring. Persoonlijke en enthousiaste ontvangst, met rondleiding. Daarna niemand meer gezien, heerlijk! Even lekker back to basic, maar met voldoende 'bare basics', zoals warm water bij aankomst, servies, koelkast en basis verlichting.
