Bushriver Lodge

Situated along the Olifants River, Bushriver Lodge features two swimming pools and a large deck with BBQ facilities. There is also a communal lounge and bar area, as well as a fully-equipped, shared kitchen. The self-catering rooms and bungalows all comes with river views, a seating area and air conditioning. Excellent

Pros: stunning views over the Olifants River where I could see Crocodiles, Hippos and Baboons. I also liked the unit Riverside which was spacious and beautiful. Not to mention the speed of Wifi, was so incredible.

Cons: The fact that my stove was not working, but management did explain that they had flooding the previous night and affected some of the electrical component. Alternative option was offered to me.

Pros: We enjoyed the stay and quiet environment, and Lisa and Anthony were available to assist if we had any issues. My kids had a great time seeing different animals, and while we took a walk around. The excitement was when we saw a hippo so up close even early morning by the river.

We enjoyed our stay.

Pros: No breakfast offered. The workers were too friendly. Problems are fixed immediately.

Cons: The swimming pool should be imoroved, we didn't swim, water wasn't clean. Nothing to entertain children.

Pros: Amazing location with the river right outside our window.Wildlife on our doorstep. Hosts were fantastic and gave lots of information about activities in the area.

An amazing stay!

Pros: The view outside room 5 was absolutely amazing. The tub as well as the large amount of space, absolutely great!

Cons: Would’ve preferred to have a little kitchenette but it gave us an opportunity to have casual conversations with fellow visitors at the communal kitchen

Definately worth a visit for a tranquil stay in the bush!

Pros: We have stayed at Bush river lodge before although in a different room. Both stays were great but we enjoyed this stay even more because the staff have instigated some bush walks for guests and they really added value to our stay! The lack of a restaurant was a little disappointing as on our previous stay they served meals, however we manged with the communal kitchen. Lots of wildlife wandered though the grounds including kudus, nyalas, baboons, bushbucks, vervet monkeys and a variety of birds. Very peaceful, clean and tidy, we will use again.

Cons: Lack of a restaurant but we were aware of this and managed very well with the communal kitchen facilities. There was also off site restaurant Three Bridges very near.
