Wonderfull resort next to River with Elephant and Hippo View

Pros: Our stay at Hippo Hollow Country Estate was wonderful. We were there during a time of high water in the national park, and we couldn't enter the park at first. The team around the reservation manager and reception did everything they could to ensure we still had a cultural experience. Our bungalow with a garden view was spotlessly clean and very quiet, and monkeys even came by in the garden. A definite highlight was the visit from a hippo during dinner. Elephants can also be observed during breakfast. Moreover the staff is wonderfull and very friendly! We will come back as soon as possible

Hippo hallow estate is a place I could call a second home and would definitely recommend anyone to go there.

I LOVED HIPPO HOLLOW AND WOULD BOOK AGAIN!!

Pros: What did I like about the property you ask? Well EVERYTHING!! We had a courtyard room, stepped right into the perfectly kept pool. Our room was big. Our bed even bigger. Water pressure amazing. The staff were very friendly, and the breakfast was AMAZING!! The views from the breakfast area were incredible and the location also amazing, please visit Perry Bridge Reptile park when you’re in the area for some adrenaline rush (YOU CAN LITERALLY HOLD A SNAKE!!)

Cons: Nothing.

Pros: The staff was amazing and the place is nice and quiet. They assisted us whenever we needed help or had any questions.

Cons: There was only one plug outlet, which is very far from the bed. There could at least be an extension cord to assist with device charging. The water in the taps is not safe to drink, so they only offered 2 bottles of water a day. The rest had to be purchased, which would be nice to know in advance. And an iron is not provided, you have to lend one from reception which would be nice to know before arriving.

Pros: Very clean. Breakfast was excellent. Great location. Staff are very attentive.

Cons: Wish there were more activities for guests to do. Maybe quiz night or some other activities. One small niggle are the lights switches, they're a little random and hard to work out which one switches on what😅
